Koh Tao and Phi Phi were my personal favourites. Phi Phi had the energy and walkability I wanted, while Koh Tao offered a relaxing escape and the freedom to explore via scooter.

Phuket felt like ‘Bangkok by the sea.’ If I could do it again, I’d fly into Phuket at the start of my trip—it might have left a better impression.
